The nail fungus laser uses micoplulse neodym yag laser. The goal is to reach a high energy level which reaches only the fungus but not the tissue around by a gentle micro pulse Between the pulses is a short recovery period. No pain is felt just a short stroke of heat of the nail. One positive side effect is the promotion of nail growth which is reduced if the nail has a fungus. The growth of new healthy nail tissue is seen after 8-12 weeks. The nail fungus treatment should be done in multiple sessions. The best results are received if the nail is prepared with a medical pedicure.
